We are delighted to announce the launch of a new investment portfolio, the Carrington Sustainable Growth Portfolio. The aim of this portfolio is to invest in companies that are engaged in having a positive impact on our planet and society, whilst also attempting to deliver superior long-term investment returns.
We believe this is a big growth area which is getting a lot of press and momentum at present, and therefore, we see it as an investment opportunity. We have been working on this portfolio and running it in the background for several months now and we’re finally happy to reveal it to you.
This portfolio is focused on long-term capital growth and is of a high-risk nature. Please follow this link to a presentation with further details on the portfolio, its construction and the type of companies it invests in.
There has been a notable shift in the mindset of many people who are becoming increasingly concerned about the world we live in. This has manifested itself in a significant amount of pressure being applied to the corporate world to change, and they are beginning to change. The number of examples are far too great to list here but include the use of “green” eco-buildings, reduction of their Carbon footprint and greater inclusion of women in senior positions.
The new portfolio attempts to gain exposure and invest in these changes. If this is something that you are interested in investing in, please contact us so that we can assess its suitability for you with regards to risk and availability on your platform. Investors should be aware that the value of their investments may well fall as well as rise, is not guaranteed and that past performance is not a guide to future performance. Different funds carry different levels of risk and investors may not get back the full amount invested.
At Carrington, the impact we have on the environment is something we are all concerned about, and we constantly look to make changes within our control. Recently inspired by a climate crisis event hosted by former US Vice President, Al Gore, Cecily and Rachel presented further ideas to the office on how we can positively contribute to climate change. Following this, we have decided to implement a number of changes in the office such as a greater emphasis on recycling waste, further reducing our use of paper and even implementing a meat-free day!
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions or would like to discuss investing in this portfolio.
