Last night the team proudly attended the Investment Week – Women in Investment Awards 2017. Out of 800 entries Carolyn (Mentor of the Year) and Cecily (Rising Star and Young Person of the Year) were both nominated and then finalists in their respective categories. Although they unfortunately did not pick up any awards, we are still incredibly proud of their achievement. It was a memorable event and fitting send off for Carolyn.

Speaking of which, we were hoping this day wasn’t going to come round so soon, but we wanted to announce that today is Carolyn’s last day in the office before she heads off on her well-earned maternity leave. After 10 and a half years her knowledgeable, caring and generally sunny disposition will be missed around the office by clients and the team alike! We wish her the best of luck (and lots of rest) as she takes on her new role as a mother. It’s all very exciting and we cannot wait to meet the little one.

Whilst Carolyn is on leave, Cecily will be taking up the reigns as Client Relationship Manager. Having recently passed her RO6 exam and qualified with a Diploma in Financial Planning (we never doubted you Cecily), she is more than well equipped to lead the team. This now means that both the client service and investment team are fully qualified to Adviser level.

Ali & Cecily both passed RO6 this year, receiving their DipPFS status.

CHRISTMAS OFFICE HOURS

The office will close on Friday, 22nd December and re-open at 09h00 on Wednesday, 3rd January 2018.

Finally, following a number of award nominations and wins, we were once again selected a New Model Adviser Top 100 Firm, an accolade we are very proud of.

And perhaps because of the snow yesterday, it doesn’t seem too early to be wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. It has once again been a privilege to have worked alongside you over the last 12 months and we would like to thank you for your continued support of Carrington in 2017.

and the Carrington Team!
